#17 Foggy Bottom Kitchen
A short drive from our cabins in Broken Bow, Swadley’s Foggy Bottom Kitchen is one of the recent additions to the Broken Bow area, and is a must visit restaurant.
Brent Swadley with help from his dad and sons opened the restaurant as early as 2020. Brent loves smokin’ meats and has been doing that for last twenty two years. He has a passion for being hospitable and sharing delicious food. He loves combining good food in serene nature setting. As a result, Brent teamed up with Oklahoma’s State Tourism and Recreation Department and the restaurant was opened in the Beavers Bend State Park by the river. They have deep roots in traditional home-cooking and want you to feel like you’re at your Grandma’s table. The restaurant’s ambience is also top notch. So kick back, relax by the river and enjoy some lovely home cooked meal!
Foggy Bottom Kitchen serves all American food including some excellent breakfast choices. Their menu has lot of different options and everything on it looks great. Their portion sizes are also adequate, somewhat on the bigger side. So if you are not super hungry, you may be able to share an entrée, especially if you order an additional side dish. Here is a link to their menu. They do tend to get very busy, so calling ahead is highly recommended
What’s even better? Foggy Bottom Restaurant is located minutes from the cabins in Broken Bow. They are situated inside the picturesque Beavers Bend State Park and Nature Center. What we recommend is to spend time in the State park as well in the same trip. There are several activities that can be done in the park – we suggest a short nature hike before eating to build an appetite, or perhaps some photo shoot in the nature setting with family and friends!
