#16 Hochatown Petting Zoo
Looking for a fun activity to do while staying in one of our cabins in Broken Bow?
Looking for something that involves kids and adults alike, and is family friendly? Well, head on to Hochatown petting zoo. Don’t let its name or size fool you. This place is a unique combination of petting zoo and a certified wildlife rehabilitation center. As such, this is a fun place for animal lovers. They have wide variety of animals at any given time including goats, deer, pigs, ducks, lizards, snakes, turtles etc. The place is highly interactive and majority of the animals can be petted.
Given that they are certified wildlife rehabilitation center, they often take in orphaned and injured animals that need some caring and rehabilitation. Once the animals are self-sufficient, they are released in the wild. Because of that reason some of the animals may keep changing. Their staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable, which is why any age kid will have fun.
Want more reason to go visit them? They are in the same area as some other family friendly attractions, such as Northside Ice Cream shop, Old West Town Mini-Golf, Hochatime Souvenir shop and Beavers Bend mining company. They are open 10am – 7pm every day, and if you are staying at our Makin’ Memories Cabin in Broken Bow, the Hochatown petting zoo is approximately 3 miles away.
